Pink Holo Gradient Tips with Shooting Stars

Hi hi hi! Been a busy week for me! Lots going on at work and I haven't been able to keep up with even doing my nails, much less updating you fine folks. But today I have a fun look for you that I wore on the first of the month (October is all about pink for breast-cancer awareness, after all! I have another mani just for that coming up soon): gradient tips with some cute silver stars. Check it out!

SHINY

Creating this look is simpler than you may think! I used three scattered pink holos for this: Nubar Essence (the lightest), Nubar Prize (the medium shade), and Orly Miss Conduct (the darkest pink and the bottle shown in the pic). They are all beautiful and have a great formula.

Rather than sponging as I originally intended, I just got lazy and used the brush to paint on the gradient. It's less smooth than would be ideal, but I knew the stars would cover most of it so I didn't mind having "lines". It was much less obvious in real life than in these super-huge photos ;)

Once the gradient was dry, I used the silver star and dot stickers to create a shooting-star look. Two coats of Seche Vite topcoat seals it all in, adding lovely shine to the holo sparkle and keeping those stickers from lifting. These were so pretty and rainbowy in the sun!

Isn't Miss Conduct gorgeous? Girl look at that bottle, girl look at that bottle, I work out...

Outside in sun. If you look closely you can see more of the difference between the medium and darker shades. In the indoor pics, Prize and Miss Conduct kind of looked the same.

Hope you enjoyed this one! Have a lovely end to your week! xoxo
