Good day, lovely! Let the Christmas manis continue :D
I've done some baubles/garland over another one of my newest piCture pOlishes--Freya's Cats!
(And, if you've ever had cats, you know that pretty hanging Christmas decorations are there to be played with and destroyed, hence the title of this post!)
Onwards!
As I mentioned before, the base is Freya's Cats by piCture pOlish. Two coats would probably give you opacity, but for these photos, I did three thin ones. The formula is a teensy bit unwieldy, but not unmanageable. I suppose it has to be this way in order to achieve such a deep colour and still allow all those amazing shimmery bits to show through! It's one of their signature "microshred" holos, showing up beautifully in bright or lower light. There's a lot of depth to this one. I got a macro to show it a little better; although my camera isn't the best for this, you can see all the irregular, beautiful "sparks":
I used white acrylic paint and a small dotting tool to create hanging tinsel strands, and added some small teardrop-shaped rhinestones to the dangly bits. One friend said they reminded her of chandeliers :)
It's topped off with Seche Vite, my old standby.
I've been wearing this for four days now, and still don't want to take it off! Despite doing some work outdoors and putting together our new BBQ, it hasn't chipped at all, and barely even has tipwear! So impressed <3
This one is out of stock on their website at the moment, but hopefully it will be back... Or maybe your local stockist has it!
Have a great start to your week, and I'll see you soon for more holiday nails :) xoxo
