Swatch & Review Time with Indie Polish (or, Slashers to Ashes)

Hello everyone! Today I'm very happy to be reviewing some polishes by the lovely and talented Tanya from Indie Polish! You've already seen the amazing Birthday Party in action, and it will definitely make another appearance soon :) but today I have two other beauties for you!

This is quite the pic-heavy post, so clickity-click to move... onward!

The first one I will show is Ashes to Ashes. It's a nice shimmery grey with lots of holo sparkle! To let the glitter show, it has to be a bit translucent, so I used three coats for the opacity you see here. Over a grey or black base, one coat would do. Also, Seche Vite on top, as it dries a bit rough on its own--very easy to sort out with a swipe of topcoat. Isn't it gorgeous?

And of course, I had to get the blurry shot of the holo :) look at the shift!

The next one I have to show you is a surprising favourite! I wasn't sure I'd like it--it's not my usual cup of tea--but I'm so impressed with it, I'm wearing it alone, and will all day tomorrow as well. Have a look!

This one is called Slasher Film Heroine. Isn't that a great name? It's a nude jelly with lots of glitters in--tiny orange ones, medium red ones, and larger holographic orange hexes. It's very interesting--it definitely captures the gory idea of flesh and blood and such, but it's actually very pretty! It glides on easily as well, and the glitters spread evenly. I used three thin coats here because I like the depth, and because my nails are quite long. If yours are shorter, two would suffice for sure :)

These as well as lots more bottles of beauty can be found at the Indie Polish website. Pricing for the products and shipping are both very reasonable, and the quality is awesome! Plus, I think of this brand as "polish for a cause"--Tanya creates these so she can work from home and take care of her young special-needs son. She's even done special fundraisers for his school! Great lady, great polishes... what more could you want? :)

I'll have one more to show you in the next post, and it's a fun one. Come back soon to see! xoxo
