Hiya! I have another Christmas manicure for you today :D This one features a previously-untried polish from Picture Polish, as well as some pretty holographic "shell paper" from Born Pretty Store!
I bought this polish over a year ago when I went to visit the Picture Polish HQ. Somehow I never got around to trying this polish! Whyyy?! It's a total stunner, opaque in two coats with their signature "bijou holo" (defined by them as "a mix of delicate small holo particles and coloured flecks that look amazing in bright sunlight and three dimensional in low lights."). Agreed! I think it's a very elegant colour at any time, but especially for the holiday season.
I then grabbed this multifaceted, shiny, holographic sticker sheet Born Pretty Store sent me.
This is a nice quality, thick-yet-pliable sticker that is perfect for applying to nails, either in precut shapes or as a full nail appliqué. It feels more like a vinyl or decal than a paper sticker. I cut out some tiny squares for wrapped presents, as well as a full size piece for the accent nail.
If I have any criticism at all about this, it's that they were kind of difficult to remove from the paper backing. I think it's always the case with an edge-to-edge sticker with nowhere to peel from. No tearing or wasted vinyl, though, so all's well that ends well :)
The gold ribbons were actually done with a gel pen, and then I used Seche Vite to topcoat. I didn't even topcoat the accent nail at all, and I am very pleasantly surprised to say it did not lift at all for the 4 days I wore it. When I finally peeled it up, it left behind a cool metallic silver layer that I left for a little while, and then easily removed with acetone. (I use pure acetone with some olive oil mixed in--much easier on the skin!)
I didn't even expect the colours to match as well as they did. Just a lucky grab from the shelf, really. Good job, Amanda.
You should definitely go check out Born Pretty Store. Don't forget to use discount code CITYG10 to get 10% off your order, which is already super affordable AND delivered anywhere in the world for free :)
Thanks for reading today, and I hope you're having a safe and happy holiday season so far. Check back soon for one more festive mani, and have a beautiful day! xoxo

I can't decide what I love more in sunlight--that shell wrap or the Moscow base colour! |
