Good day! I hope your week has started off well. Mine has been a little stressful, so I decided to do a relaxing, calming nail design. :)
I just love birds! I think they're beautiful, and can be so cute, and I've always been jealous of their ability to fly and go anywhere they want. I don't believe in reincarnation, but if it is a thing, I'd really like to be a bird next time around.
Click the jump to see how I did these :)
Righteo! The base colour, that nice sky blue, is OPI Can't Find My Czechbook (hence the title of this post). I did two coats, and then once that was dry, I sponged on white polish here and there to make some drifting clouds.
Next, I dug out every bird plate I could find in my collection... which turned out to be a measly two. Bundle Monster plate BM-315 for the big flying bird, and Mash plate #30 for the perched one on my middle finger. Some of the smaller birds were made by using this amazingly clever technique by Anna on YouTube (note that she credits other YouTubers for the idea, but doesn't name them, so I am not sure where the idea originated--but it's brilliant!). I LOVE this, since my nails are very small--I will be stamping so much more now that I know how to fit more designs on my smallest nail!
The rest of the tiny birds as well as the branch the perched one is sitting on was painted with black acrylic paint and a detail brush.
I just adore these nails. I hope you do too. Thanks for reading today! I'll see you next time for more :D xoxo
